Account Registration
Only individuals who can lawfully gamble in Great Britain and Northern Ireland may use the Betano Services on betenos.com. Account creation and verification are governed by strict regulatory and anti-money laundering standards.
Eligibility and Age Verification
- Age requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to open an Account and use the Services. By registering, you confirm that you are 18+ and legally entitled to gamble under the laws of Great Britain or Northern Ireland.
- Location: You may only use the Services from within Great Britain or Northern Ireland. The Operator may use geo-location, IP checks and other tools to verify your location and may block or void activity from outside the permitted territories.
- Verification (KYC): Before you can deposit, bet or withdraw, the Operator may verify your identity, age and address by requesting documents such as a passport or ID card, proof of address, and (where appropriate) source-of-funds or source-of-wealth information. Electronic databases and credit reference agencies may also be consulted.
- Suspension pending checks: Until verification is completed to the Operator's satisfaction, your Account may be restricted, deposits may be limited, and withdrawals may be delayed or blocked in line with UK regulatory requirements.
Account Creation and Security
- Registration process: To open an Account, you must complete the online registration form truthfully and accurately, choose secure login credentials, and confirm your email address or mobile number where requested. You consent to the use of electronic communications for account-related notices.
- One account rule: You may hold only one Account with the Operator for the Betano site. Duplicate, shared or third-party accounts are prohibited and may result in closure, cancellation of Bonuses and voiding of bets where permitted by law.
- Accuracy of data: You are responsible for ensuring that all personal and contact information remains complete and up to date. You must notify the Operator promptly of any changes (for example, address, name, banking details, or changes in affordability).
- Password security: You must keep your username, password and other security details strictly confidential. Any Bet placed using your credentials will be treated as placed by you. You must contact customer support immediately if you suspect unauthorised access or a security breach.
Responsible Gambling and Account Controls
- Safer gambling tools: You may at any time apply Responsible Gambling Tools, including deposit limits, loss limits, time-outs and self-exclusion, via your Account settings or by contacting support. Changes may take effect immediately or after a cooling-off period in accordance with regulatory rules.
- Self-exclusion: If you self-exclude, your Account will be closed for at least the minimum period you select and you must not attempt to open a new Account. The Operator will take reasonable steps to prevent you from gambling during self-exclusion and recommends you also register with GAMSTOP for wider protection.
- Closing your account: You may request Account closure at any time. Subject to regulatory obligations, ongoing investigations and these Terms, the Operator will return your Real Money Balance to you using an appropriate payment method.
Betting & Gameplay Rules
All Bets placed via the Betano Services on betenos.com are subject to these Terms, the specific rules for each product (for example, sports betting rules, casino game rules) and any additional information published on the Website at the time your Bet is placed.
Placing Bets and Limits
- Offer and acceptance: A Bet is deemed placed when it has been accepted by the Operator's servers and appears in your betting history. Displayed odds and markets constitute an invitation to treat; the Operator may refuse all or part of a Bet at its discretion in line with regulatory standards.
- Minimum and maximum stakes: The Website may specify minimum and maximum stakes per Bet, market or player. The Operator may adjust these limits, apply individual limits or restrict certain markets to manage risk, comply with safer gambling obligations or meet regulatory requirements.
- Funds availability: You must have sufficient cleared funds in your Account (Real Money Balance or, where permitted, Bonus Funds) to cover the full value of each Bet. Bets placed without sufficient funds will not be accepted.
- Timing: Bets must be placed before the relevant event or game starts, unless otherwise specified (for example, in-play betting). Bets inadvertently accepted after an event has been decided may be voided.
Bet Settlement, Cancellation and Modification
- Settlement: Bets are settled based on the official result or outcome as determined by the relevant governing body, game provider or data feed. Settlement rules for each market type are published on the Website and should be consulted before betting.
- Errors and palpable mistakes: If a Bet is accepted at odds or on terms that are clearly incorrect due to an obvious error (for example, mis-typed odds or wrong handicap), the Operator may void the Bet or settle it at the correct odds in accordance with its sports and game rules and UK consumer law.
- Cancellation and cash-out: Once placed, a Bet cannot usually be cancelled by you. Where a "cash-out" feature is offered, any cash-out is subject to the amounts calculated and displayed at the time and to the feature's availability, which may be withdrawn at any time.
- Void bets: Bets may be declared void in specific circumstances (for example, event postponement, technical errors or regulatory requirements). In such cases, the stake will generally be returned to your Account, unless otherwise stated in the relevant product rules.
Conduct, Live Casino and Chat
- Fair play: You must not use any unfair advantage, including bots, software, hardware or techniques designed to manipulate, cheat or exploit errors in the Services. Collusion with other players and use of inside information are strictly prohibited.
- Live casino etiquette: In live casino and interactive environments, you must act respectfully toward dealers, staff and other players. Abusive, discriminatory, threatening, defamatory or otherwise inappropriate behaviour is not tolerated.
- Chat rules: Chat features must not be used to promote other services, solicit funds, share personal data, coordinate betting strategies, or disseminate offensive content. The Operator may monitor, moderate or remove chat messages and may suspend or close Accounts for breaches.
- Responsible gambling obligations: The Operator may refuse Bets, reduce limits, suspend or close your Account if it believes that your gambling may be harmful, unaffordable or in breach of responsible gambling or anti-money laundering requirements.
Bonus Terms
From time to time, the Operator may offer Bonuses or promotions to Users of the Betano Services on betenos.com. All such offers are subject to these Terms and to any specific promotional terms presented at the time of the offer.
Bonus Eligibility and Activation
- Eligibility: Bonuses are typically available only to registered, verified Users residing in Great Britain or Northern Ireland. Additional eligibility criteria (for example, new customers only, minimum deposit, qualifying odds) will be stated in the specific promotional terms.
- Activation: To claim a Bonus, you may be required to opt in, enter a bonus code, place a qualifying Bet or make a qualifying deposit within a specified period. Failure to meet the conditions within the stated timeframe will result in the Bonus expiring or not being credited.
- Transparency: The key conditions of each Bonus, including any wagering requirements, game restrictions, time limits and maximum win or conversion limits, will be clearly displayed in the offer description and in the detailed promotional terms.
Wagering Requirements and Restrictions
- Wagering requirements: Bonus Funds and any associated winnings may be subject to wagering requirements, meaning you must stake a multiple of the Bonus amount, deposit amount or both before associated funds become withdrawable. The exact multiplier and qualifying bets will be specified in each promotion.
- Qualifying bets: Certain bet types or low-risk strategies (for example, opposite bets, arbitrage, very short odds, or overlapping selections) may not count toward wagering requirements. Any such exclusions will be clearly stated in the relevant promotional terms.
- Time limits: Bonuses and wagering requirements must be completed within the timeframe specified in the promotional terms (for example, within 7, 14 or 30 days from credit). Unused Bonuses and incomplete wagering after the deadline may result in forfeiture of the Bonus and related winnings.
- Game and product restrictions: Some Bonuses may only be used on specific games, categories or products (for example, casino only, selected slots, or sports bets above certain odds). Any prohibitions or weighting differences will be set out in the promotion.
Combining Promotions and Bonus Abuse
- No automatic combination: Unless expressly stated, Bonuses cannot be combined or stacked. Where multiple promotions are available, you may be required to complete or cancel one offer before participating in another.
- Bonus abuse: The Operator may withhold or cancel a Bonus, void Bonus-derived winnings and/or close or restrict your Account where it reasonably suspects Bonus abuse, including but not limited to multi-accounting, collusion, matched betting or other conduct that deliberately circumvents fair use.
- Right to amend or withdraw: Subject to any commitments already made and to consumer protection law, the Operator may amend or withdraw a promotion by giving reasonable notice or, where necessary, with immediate effect, for example to comply with regulatory instructions or correct an error.
Payments & Withdrawals
All financial transactions with the Betano Services on betenos.com are conducted in pounds sterling (GBP, £) and are subject to anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and affordability requirements applicable in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Deposit Methods, Limits and Fees
- Permitted payment methods: Supported deposit methods typically include UK-issued debit cards (Visa/Mastercard), Apple Pay and PayPal, subject to availability. Credit cards and credit-card-funded wallets are not permitted in line with UKGC regulations. Crypto-assets are not currently supported as a deposit method for UK customers.
- Deposit limits: Indicative limits (which may change) include minimum deposits from approximately £5 for debit cards and Apple Pay and £10 for PayPal, with maximum deposit limits up to approximately £30,000 per transaction for certain methods. Specific limits applicable to your Account will be displayed in the cashier.
- Fees: The Operator does not charge deposit fees as of 2025. However, your bank, card issuer or payment provider may levy its own fees or currency charges, which are outside the Operator's control.
- Verification and holds: The Operator may delay or refuse deposits if required by law, if fraud or misuse is suspected, or if you have not provided requested verification or affordability information.
Withdrawals, Processing Times and Reverse Withdrawals
- Withdrawal methods: Where possible, withdrawals will be processed back to the same payment method used for deposit, in line with anti-money laundering rules. Where this is not feasible, an alternative method, such as bank transfer, may be offered.
- Processing times: Indicative processing times (subject to your bank or provider) are:
- Visa Direct "fast funds": typically within 30 minutes to 4 hours after approval (average approximately 34 minutes based on 2025 tests);
- PayPal: usually same day and within 24 hours after approval;
- Standard bank transfer: typically 1 - 3 Business Days.
- Withdrawal limits: Typical minimum withdrawal amounts are around £5 for debit cards and £10 for PayPal, with daily maximum withdrawals that may reach approximately £50,000. The exact limits applicable to you will be displayed in the cashier and may depend on your verification status.
- Reverse withdrawals: In accordance with UKGC requirements, once you have requested a withdrawal, you cannot reverse or cancel it in order to continue gambling. Pending withdrawals may be cancelled only in limited circumstances required by law or to correct an error.
Refused Transactions, Refunds and Player Funds Protection
- Refused or delayed payments: The Operator may refuse, suspend or delay deposits or withdrawals where required for fraud prevention, responsible gambling, anti-money laundering checks, sanctions screening or to address technical or operational issues. You will be informed where legally permitted.
- Refunds: Deposits are not normally refundable simply because you change your mind. In exceptional cases (for example, clear error or technical duplication), the Operator may process a refund, subject to investigation and any regulatory obligations.
- Segregation and protection of funds: Player funds are held in a designated account separate from the Operator's corporate funds and benefit from a "medium protection" level as defined by the UK Gambling Commission: arrangements are in place (including segregation and insurance or equivalent mechanisms) to reduce the risk of loss if the Operator becomes insolvent, but funds are not absolutely guaranteed in all circumstances. Further information is available on the UKGC website.
Limitation of Liability
The Operator aims to provide a fair, secure and reliable betting and gaming environment via the Betano Services on betenos.com, but certain limitations and exclusions of liability apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Operator Responsibilities
- Fairness and integrity: The Operator ensures that all games are provided by reputable suppliers and that outcomes are determined by certified random number generators or official event results, as applicable. The Operator will honour valid winning Bets once accepted and correctly settled.
- Accuracy of information: While reasonable efforts are made to ensure that odds, event information, game rules and account balances are accurate and up to date, such information may be subject to obvious errors, delays or technical issues. In such cases, the Operator may correct the information and adjust or void affected Bets in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
- Security: The Operator uses industry-standard security measures, including TLS 1.3 encryption and ISO 27001-aligned controls, to protect your data and transactions as of 2025. However, no system is entirely free from risk.
Exclusions and Limitations
- No liability for indirect loss: To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for any indirect, consequential, special or punitive losses, including loss of profits, business, data or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services.
- Technical failures and interruptions: The Operator is not liable for failures, delays, interruptions or malfunctions in the Services caused by events outside its reasonable control, including network outages, power failures, third-party service issues, device incompatibility or force majeure events. Bets affected by such issues may be voided or settled in accordance with the published rules.
- Maximum liability: Subject to the paragraph below, the Operator's total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from a particular Bet or game will not exceed (a) the amount of the relevant stake, or (b) where the claim relates to mis-settlement or non-payment of winnings, the amount that should have been credited to your Account.
- Non-excludable liability: Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

- Consequences: Upon closure, any remaining Real Money Balance that is not subject to investigation, chargeback, regulatory requirement or other lawful retention may be returned to you. Bonuses and associated winnings may be forfeited where closure follows a serious breach (for example, fraud or Bonus abuse), in accordance with consumer protection law.

These will be explained to you at the time of your request and on the responsible gambling pages (for example, https://betano.co.uk/responsible-gambling).
